RULES

Basics

  1. The League Name is Raccoon Nation. There are no abbreviations, and it shall never be known as the Coon League.

  2. This is a twelve-man league, and will always function at a twelve-man level. If a person is no longer able to maintain their team in the league, meaning lack of competitive nature, forget to fix their lineup, their membership will be put to a vote at the end of the season. If said owner is removed from the league, the waiting list will be enacted.

  3. There is a $30 fee for this league. That fee will fluctuate depending on whether excess items are bought in advance for the draft.  This fee is also amendable in the future. This fee is due once crossing the threshold of the draft location on draft day. If the fee is not paid, said person is forced to take their first round draft pick, regardless of selection, and move it to the end of the Round One. If said person drafts last, their second round draft pick will be moved to the end of the second round. This fee is amendable by a 2/3 vote.

  4. The winner of the postseason will receive $275. This amount is subject to change depending on how much money is paid to enter the league. The winner of the regular season will be rewarded $50, and the points champion will receive $35. These fees are amendable depending on how much is paid to enter the league. These fees, if changed, will be discussed before the draft. These fees will need to be passed by a 2/3 vote.

  5. Show pride in the league. This league should be discussed with others – because it is necessary for all people to understand that our league is the best, and will remain the best for years to come.

Roster

  1. The current roster size is 16. There are 9 starters, and 6 bench players. The bench includes 1 Injured Reserve spot, and once a player is placed on IR they must remain on for a period of 4 weeks.

  2. The number of starting positions are as follows: Quarterback (1), Running Back (2), Wide Receivers (2), Tight End (1), Flex RB/WR/TE (1), DST (1), and Kicker (1).

  3. There is no limit to the amount of players at a certain position allowed on a member’s team.

Schedule

  1. The Raccoon Nation league will begin on the first week of every NFL Season. This league will always exclude the preseason.

  2. There is 1 matchup per week. There are 13 regular season matchups, with playoffs starting week 14. A game can end in a tie.

  3. The top 6 members of the 12 members will compete in the playoffs. The bottom 6 will compete in a consolation bracket with that “loser” of the losers bracket, being the league's “Bedshiter” for the year. The winner of the “Bedshiter” is the person who loses the “Bedshiter” bowl in the playoffs, not the regular season.

Draft

  1. The Raccoon Nation takes part in an offline draft. If it is necessary for a player to draft via Skype, accommodations can be made.

  2. Since league members are often in various geographical locations, the draft Date, Time, and Location will always be TBD.

  3. The draft order selection is started by a random drawing. Each player is responsible for then picking their own draft spot in accordance with the order their names were drawn.

  4. The draft is a snake draft.

  5. Draft pick trading is allowed, but each team needs equal number of selections to fill out the 16 roster spots on their team. Trading keepers for draft picks is also allowed, be it beneficial to all teams associated in the trade.
